Creative Skill Development – The Moving Image Production Course allows participants to express themselves through podcasts, music videos, and short films, expanding their technical and storytelling skills while gaining confidence and self-awareness.
Dedicated Mentorship – Experienced mentors work 1-on-1 and in groups to build trust, professional relationships, and personal development strategies, helping students overcome barriers.

The Reconnect Programme is a transformative 12-week course designed to support young people who have experienced setbacks, are vulnerable to crime, or struggling to find purpose. Our mission is to help them regain control over their futures and build a positive path forward through skill development, mentorship, and personal reflection.

Alongside our CPD-certified online courses, designed to develop skills for employment, Melaka College offers bespoke programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of young people—including those facing significant personal challenges or at risk of criminal involvement.
A Collaborative Approach to Crime Prevention & Intervention
We partner with schools, local organizations, and youth services to identify young people who may be at risk of criminal involvement or disengagement, including those facing:
- Exclusion from school
- Disruptive or anti-social behavior
- Low attendance & disengagement
- Previous negative interactions with law enforcement
- Peer influences that may lead to crime
We also work directly with young people who have committed crimes, offering support and structured intervention to help them gain new skills, rebuild their confidence, and make informed choices toward a better future.
This holistic, trauma-informed approach ensures that every young person receives the guidance, empowerment, and opportunity they need to make positive life changes.
